Ashley Baker

Ashley Thomas Baker (born 30 October 1996) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a defender for The New Saints of the Cymru Premier. He is a Wales Under-21 international. An international at youth level with Wales, Baker first joined the Bluebirds in the Under-14 age group. The central defender, who is equally capable at full back, became a key player for the Cardiff Under-18s and Development Squad during his time in the Welsh capital. The Bridgend-born defender completed his scholarship with Cardiff and was offered professional terms following the conclusion of the 2014/15 campaign. Baker joined the Owls following the expiry of his contract at The Cardiff City Stadium, signing at Hillsborough until summer 2018.
